Goodbye peeps.
In 2005, all 6 families were there. But only 3 families were willing to hold joss sticks. 5 out of 6 were christians. My grandmother was seriously upset. And my dad gave the rest a good telling off. Since that year onwards, my grandmother only call those who are willing to hold joss sticks to attend it.
Last year there was 3, this year, only 2. The eldest son and the second son, who is my dad. And sadly, my grandfather most beloved grandson, who is my elder brother, did not attend it this year. He just enter NS and gave reasons like being tired and stuff.
But whatever it is, i thank my grandfather for all his care and concern. He was the one who brought me to take my first haircut. I still remember, he told the barber to cut "botak". Haha. And everytime after the haircut, he will bring me to the toys shop nearby and buy both my brother and i some toys. Being boys, we usually buy those toy guns and stuff. He was the one who taught me how to read the compass. That dong nan xi bei.
When i was in kindergarden, he will always find me during my break. And i will always hold up my plate to show him that it's empty and drink a quarter of the water in my water bottle. I bet most of u don't know that i actually know a bit of calligraphy. Yes, my grandfather taught me that as well. But i only know how to write my name. I guess i've forgotten everything already. The last time i touched that brush was like 10 years ago.
I do wish my grandfather is enjoying himself right now. No matter where he is, i hope he will bless my grandmother. She's getting weaker and weaker every year. In the past, her talking is like screaming. But now, it's getting softer and softer. She even need support or rest after walking short distances.
Alright, enough about qing ming jie, i'm leaving for HK in 5 hours and i'm less than 50% done. Wish me luck that i will not catch that virus and die in hk, or will i meet face to face with mas selamat. Goodbye peeps. Have fun!
